The Mermaid and Fairy Add-On Patterns

Both the Magical Mermaid and the Flower Fairy are add-on patterns. That means they are not standalone dolls. Instead, they build on the Blossom Doll Base, walking you through how to adapt the doll you already know how to make into something new. If you have made a Blossom Doll before, you already have most of the skills you need. If you are making one for the first time, the video tutorials carry you through every step at your own pace.
The Flower Fairy gives your doll a reversible petal dress, with two looks in one, plus fairy wings and pretty hair accessories. There is a non-reversible version of the dress too, if you would rather keep things simple. The Magical Mermaid gives her a tail you can make fixed or removable to wear, a mermaid top, and a brand new hairstyle to finish the look. Because the tail can come on and off, she can be a mermaid one day and step right back into the rest of her Blossom wardrobe the next.
The part people often miss
Here is the lovely secret. These add-ons were designed around the Blossom Doll, but they are not limited to her. You can use the very same patterns to turn the Blossom & Friday animal collection into fairy folk and merfolk too.
Picture a mer-kitty with a curling tail, a fairy bunny with petal wings, a mer-mouse the size of your palm (if you resize the pattern - See my Youtube video on how to do that HERE), or a teddy fairy ready for a woodland adventure. The animal dolls share very similar proportions to the Blossom Doll, you may just need to turn the waist of the Mermaid tail down a little , so the tail, dress, wings and accessories adapt across the range beautifully. It is the same pattern, the same tutorials, and a whole new cast of characters. The options really are endless.

You are working from a base you understand, adding one new element at a time, with a video showing you exactly what to do.
