What is AI?

AI, Artificial intelligence is the simulation of human intelligence processes by machines, especially computer systems. There are many types of AI programmes but for this workshop we are specifically looking at the AI Art programme - Midjourney
​
Do I need Midjourney to use alongside this workshop?
Yes. There are other AI Art programmes available and I am sure you could achieve great results with them but I will specifically be referencing Midjourney. As of the time of creating this workshop there is a free version of Midjourney that you can use with a more limited application.

Will you show me how to use Midjourney?
Yes, I will show how I use Midjourney for the purposes of this course and for creating inspiring images in AI

Is AI art ethical?
There are many facets to this question and I believe the answer all comes down to the usage and the user. As with all fields of art and creativity, we make decisions about originality, inspiration and authenticity frequently. AI can most certainly be used in a way that is questionable in terms of ethics, but I am going to show you how you can use it for inspiration and for concept design in a way that I believe is ethical and fair to other artists.
